The Proximity Hotel - Greensboro, NC
Proximity Hotel is a state of the art hotel located in Greensboro, NC. It is first property in the hospitality industry to achieve the highest level of certification from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC): LEED Platinum. Proximity utilizes 100 solar roof panels to heat water and energy producing elevators, the first of its kind. Brite Engineering provided the electrical design which consists of the lighting layout, power distribution, fire alarm system, telecommunication system, and emergency generation. BECI also provided in depth investigations into energy saving products and techniques, which led to its excellent rating from the USGBC.
